History
Bel Air is a Danish airline company established in 1994 by
Bjarne and Susanne Hessellund Lastein.

Susanne H. Lastein qualified as helicopter pilot in 1994, and in
the beginning she flew as pilot in Bel Air until she took a job at
Maersk Helicopters in 1997 and later CHCdk. In 2002 she left Maersk
in order to work in Bel Air establishing a new offshore helicopter
company - Dancopter, being joint owner, manager and pilot from 2002
until 2007, when owners of Dancopter split due to disagreement on
the future strategy.
In these years, Bjarne Lastein continued running Bel Air while
working parallel as a airlinepilot. More heliports were established
in Denmark and also more helicopters and employees were attached to
the company. Having sold Bel Airs shares in Dancopter, Bjarne
Lastein in 2007 handed over the managing position to Susanne H.
Lastein.
